Five Elements is proud to announce our new organic soap and shampoo bar range.
This idea began with my growing concern about the health risks associated with using liquid soaps and shampoos due to the ready absorption of their harmful chemical additives through the skin.
With the use of numerous brands of shampoos, I had clean hair but an itchy scalp! In the same vein, liquid hand soaps left my hands very clean but excessively dry!
People are wearing patches that pump nicotine and birth control into their bodies. If the skin is an effective conduit for medicines, it's also wide open for toxins. The top five additives that some studies have found suspect are parabens, phthalates, BHT and BHA, petroleum-derived chemicals, any synthetic fragrance, and Cocamide DEA.
Among the most common side effects listed in these studies are “allergies; breathing difficulties; cancer; and endocrine disruption which interfere with fertility and libido”.
We have a small flock of East Friesian Dairy Sheep that we hand milk and from which we make cheese and yoghurt. Milk has been used for thousands of years as a beauty aid and has numerous benefits for the skin, and Sheep milk is superior to other types of milk because it has more vitamins, minerals, protein, and butterfat that is cholesterol neutral and easier for humans to digest!
Welcome to our own Organic Sheep Milk & Rosemary Hypoallergenic Soap. In addition to the organic sheep milk and organic soap base ingredients that have been sustainably resourced, we have added our Elemental Phytoextracts that are also loaded with healing properties and nutrients.
The final hero ingredient in this soap is rosemary essential oil which studies have shown to have calmative effects as well as anti-oxidant and anti-inflammatory properties.
