Last month I paid homage to Rosemary, one of our key “Elemental™ Phytoextracts”; this month I would like to highlight the benefits of the Olive (Olea europaea), another component of this extract, which is used in all our products. We only use locally sourced extra virgin, cold pressed olive.
In fact it was just a few days ago that I went to collect the first batch of the new season’s oil from Mark Heard up the Awatere Valley, who together with his wife Phyllis, own a grove of olives in our district. We use exactly the same olive oil, which is absolutely delicious, in our kitchen.
